08 M35 Intakes?

Hi, I'm new to this forum, most of the time I hang around on nissanclub.com. Anyway I was just wondering what you m35/45 owners think about CAI. Which ones are the best in terms of sound and power. The reason I ask is because my dad is about to purchase an m35 and his birthday is in a few days, I'd love to get him a new intake, however I don't want to purchase anything that's too loud.

(after searching through some previous threads in this forum I found that some people report a loss of power with just an intake? is this true?)

save your money for an exhaust perferable a cat back system. megan racing axle backs add a nice look to the car but not much in terms of sound.

well the car's not mine and its just an idea for a present. If I had 7-800 bucks to drop on an exhaust for a car that's not mine I'd do it lol.
