This past Saturday I bought a 2008 G37 coupe at a Infiniti dealer, on the carfax it stated that it had its breaks, coolant flushed, oil changed and belts changed as well. When I was looking over it I could see that these things had been done. However when I went to turn it on about a min or two later, it started making this loud squealing noise I gave it some gas and it squealed even louder, but then it stopped, so I test drove it for a couple of miles and the car did run great. The sales guy and I figured it could be one of two things (1) when they applied engine dressing some of that oil got on the belts, which would come off in a couple of days and the squeal should stop. (2) since the belt is new it may of needed sometime to stretch.
Well either way I got the guy to put it in writing that if it kept up they would fix it. So its basically now Thursday and it still does it,but it only does it on its initial cold start for a min then it stops. I have noticed that it seems to do it and last a little longer if I initially turn the car on in the afternoon when its super hot here in FL, But it does it less and not as loud if I turn it on initially early in the morning.
I am going to take it back to the dealer, but before I do I would like the input from others as to what it might be,or if any of you have had this issue. Sorry for the long post.
