Anybody see this before?? :gotme
I think the code was P0732

I do remember him saying: Gear ratio error in 2nd gear
The guy that read it was very nice and got rid of it for me and it hasn't come back in a few short trips around town.
Oh, seems to shift fine and runs extremely well!!! faster than my coupe.... :frown:

i thought the gear ratios where fixed? how can you have a ratio error with 5 fixed gears?

lol yeah they advertise the coupe as the more sporty car, but the sedan is actually the faster version of the G.

I don't know....I've put about 300+ miles on it and the light has stayed off.

Called Infiniti and they said the code was probably a fluke...prob never come on again.
So, checked Infiniti Help and it says to check transmission fluid level and condition.
Could not get the 10 mm bolt off.....it just spun. So, Nissan must have messed up the threads when they did a flush.
Took to Nissan and we finally got the bolt off, check the fluid which was good and level was good.
They put a new bolt in, checked the code and basically said the same as Infiniti.
Wonder if that code would prevent the car from passing a NC inspection.....

Believe any CEL light would cause failure. But not sure on anything else.

Reminds me that I have 2 cars up for inspection, there goes gas money.

good to hear it was a fluke.

one thing i liked when i moved from atlanta was there is on emissions inspection in warner robins, the population is not dense enough to require it. In atlanta you can barely see the stars, but down here you can everywhere you go.

NC has a few counties that do not require OBD2 inspection, but not many. Still in those have to go for the safety inspection for all cars (same for all <'96 cars in the OBD2 emission counties).

Its just the matter of if they get you for $33 for OBD2 or $13 for non-OBD2. Plus $10 if they see that you have aftermarket tint. Then the $28 for each tag renewal after the inspection is complete. Let's not even start on car property taxes...

wow they nickle and diming people, even in atlanta its just $15-$25 for emmissions inspection then normal tag fees, i guess the emissions counts as a car inspection in atlanta.
