08 G35X Passenger Airbag Light going on and off with passenger in seat

I have had my 08 G35X in several times to correct the yellow Passenger Airbag light staying on or going on/off on the center cluster at the lower left corner. This happens with ANYONE who sits in the seat no matter their size. It IS NOT related to how the person sits in the seat because it happens at start up or driving on the highway. It was staying on while I returned home and I pulled into the dealer service line to show them. When I was the NEXT CAR in line the light WENT OFF! and my daughter NEVER MOVED! The dealer keeps saying it's the way the person is sitting!

It should be covered under warranty...have your daughter come to the dealership and show them the problem.

There was a recall for passenger side airbag sensors that might be causing the issue. My 08 Sedan was affected by the recall - a quick 20 min fix at the dealer. Just call a dealer and have them run your VIN. And make sure you're not a passenger until it gets fixed.
