Hi everyone. I recently bought a G35x and am loving the car, but there is a slight inconvenience.

I own many CDs and MP3 files of Chinese and Japanese music, and would like to play them in my car. When I rip the CDs into the hard drive, the song names are displayed as random code. I have also tried using a Compact Flash card, but MP3 files with Chinese or Japanese filenames show up as random code as well. Some files don't even show up on the list at all.

Does anyone know if there is a software upgrade available to teach my car how to display anything other than English or French? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately it does not support those language sets. Not sure there is much you can do about it other than trying to rename the files in english.

Hi audtatious, I'm aware that the current system only supports English and French language sets.

What I'm looking for is a software/firmware upgrade, possibly from Japan. I can speak fluent Japanese so I actually don't mind having to talk to my car in Japanese

If anyone knows how this can be done, I would love to know!!!
