I have a stock AC and only 5k in miles on it. I was driving home from the gym and the tire maintence light came on. I pulled over and checked tire pressure and they were all fine. Does anyone else know what might cause this? I think the stock tires are getting mad cause i am thinking about getting new rims and tires for my AC . If anyone has any thoughts much appreciated.

Dave - the only thing i can think of is

were you driving and then pulled over and checked the tires?

If you tires were hot then they would show a higher psi.

Let the tires cool for an hour and check them again.

If they are still good, then i say disconnect the battery for 5 mins and that should reset your ecu/everything.

Or just drive for a few days and it will go away

I dont think they were that hot. It is like 40 degrees out and then i only drove maybe 1 mile and around 30 miles an hour. BUt i will check it. I thought maybe they needed to be rotated as well since it is a new car and it was 6k miles i have on it. I thank you though for input i let it sit and go out in alittle bit to recheck the pressure again.

dont worry about it, they should go off on its own if the tires are filled right... The light gets finicky in varying temps..

Please make a more descriptive title next time

I had the same problem, kinda but the light went away and then it stayed on. I finally got mine fixed, I had to get the BCM replaced and the TPMS sensors recalibrated to the new BCM.

Get the dealership to scan for the code and see what the problem is first.

So after a while i went to check out my tires again the presure was fine. When i start my coupe up each time the tire maintence light comes on. I just clear it and it wont come on again when i drive. I was wondering if anyone has any other thoughts? Is there a warning for rotate tires and tire maintence?

So after talking to a friend at Nissian he told me to go into the settings on the control panel to change the display, MPG, etc under maintence there is tires and it has something about 6000 miles a warning will come up. I am guessing it to rotate your tires u can go in the setting and reset it for another 6k miles.

David

i hope this helps some people out.

TPMS without letting you know what the pressure is in each tire is somewhat lame.

I transfered my tpms to my new wheels, it was fine, until 20 miles later, took it to the dealership and told me that it was a broken circuit, they replace it free of charge.
