The gas engine on my 2008 Nissan Altima Hybrid suddenly stopped working while driving. I was able to make it home on the Battery charge of the hybrid system. Initially, the only light that turned was the Hybrid Warning System, once the battery charge was depleted, the other lights began to turn on as well. Oddly enough, the only light that didn't not turn on was the Service Engine Soon light. In fact, as of right now, when I try to turn the car on it does its System Checks and all the lights turn on except the Service Engine Soon. I would assume that if, in fact there was a problem with the Gas Engine, that light, in particular, would turn on. The following day I had the car towed to the Nissan dealer where I purchased the car. After a few hours they called me to let me know that they are 50-60% sure that it was the Ignition Coil Shorted out. They recommend to replace all four of them to start for $900. He was sure to tell me that there might be other problems. I declined the repair and had the car towed back to my house for now. I asked for the diagnostic print out and this is what was on it:

ENGINE P0AC4 HV ECU MIL REQUEST
ABS C0200 FR RH SENSOR
ABS C0205 FR LH SENSOR
ABS C1241 POWER SUPPLY
ABS C1259 HV SYSTEM REGNRTNG
METER/M&A B2205 SPEED METER
BCM U1000 CAN COMM
EPS/DAST 3 C1609 VEHICLE SPEED SIGNAL
EV/HEV P3000 HV BAT MALFUNCTION
EV/HEV P0A0F EN STP
EV/HV U0100 LOST COMM (ECM)
EV/HV U0115 LOST COMM (COUNT)
IPDM E/R U1000 CAN COMM CIRCUIT

If the ignition coil did in fact burn out, wouldn't there be a code for a misfire or something along the lines (P0300)?

I don't want to play the $1000 guessing game to see what is wrong with the car.

It currently has 100,980 miles on it. I live in CT, so the Hybrid System is covered to 150,000.

I'm going to be bringing it to a different Nissan Dealer in the coming days but I wanted to get some advice first.

Any help would be great!

Thanks!
