I have read about this "Steering Lock" issue, however I don't think that is what's going on...
Some days the car starts fine, and other days I have to get a jump. Issue has been going on for a couple weeks now. When it wont start, it will crank over like it is going to, but just won't start. As soon as I hook it up to another car it starts immediately. I had the battery tested and they said it was 100% charged, alternator seemed to be working fine too. They told me to check the cables to the starter, and everything look great. Is there any way I can just test the starter?

Check and clean your grounds. An improperly grounded harness can cause this exact issue. The Starter will still get power, but the EFI harness will have a bad ground.

Good call, Ace. I second cleaning the grounds. Sounds like there is a dirty or loose connection somewhere.

The Steering Lock Issue was mostly related to 370Zs that were manufactured up until 06/2010. I don't recall any Altimas being part of that issue.

I went through and checked every the ground, everything looks brand new, everything is tight, and there didn't seem to be any corrosion...the car wouldn't start again last weekend so I pulled the battery out, check it in the wifes car (Altima Sedan) and sure enough hers wouldn't start. Put her battery back in and took it back to the shop...dead battery. Replaced the battery and she fired right up. I have been driving for about 150 miles and no issues so far. I am going to go with the first guy had no idea how to check a battery....

Thanks for the help though ACE, because of you I researched EFI harnesses and gained quite a bit of knowledge!
