I had the factory bose in my car and I installed the avic-d3, a box, subs amp cap. For a year my car was fine nver had a problem. I went back to the shop three weeks ago and added an antenna booster and the pioneer xm receiver to the avic-d3. At the dealership all i had done was oil, rotors cut, inspection and had them check the passenger seat because there air bag light would come on if someone was sitting on the seat a particular way. With that said i went to start my car and nothing, i had to get my car jumped. I drove around for a couple of days and then the same thing happened again. The dealership blamed the stereo immediately and was forced to go to the installer. The took apart everything and every fuse but they did not let the car sit for an hour and it was getting a reading of .13 and i was told that is high. If anyone had a similar problem or any input it would be appreciated.

Have the dealer or your local shop do a battery drain test when it's off - it sounds like something is sucking power while the car is off - if you have the test done, you can figure it out.

Either that or you have a bad battery - check the water levels and if the test comes back negative, you probably have a bad battery or the alternator can't handle the drain your system is causing.

the installer called me today and said my car with not one stereo component installed still drains .13 he mentioned most cars are at .02 .07 so for nothing connected to my car they cant figure out what exactly is causing the drain on the battery.

That's odd - i would take it to the dealer with the components removed and see if they can find something - it sounds like something in your car is eating power.

check the XM radio module that they just installed. They might wired it wrong that leave the module keep running even when your car is off.
