HEY IM NEW ON THE FORUM, IVE HAD MY COUPE FOR 3 YEARS...I HEARD A LOUD STEADY ELECTRONIC SCREECH COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. DIDNT FOLLOW MY INSTINCT AND GO TO THE DEALER AND I WENT TO AN AUTO ELECTRICIAN. THE DUDE TOOK APART AND DISCONNECTED VARIOUS THINGS TO TRY TO FIND THE DEFECTIVE SENSOR. HE FINALLY LOCATED IT AND REPLACED IT. PROBLEM IS NOW ALL MY SENSOR LIGHTS ARE ON IN MY DASHBOARD!! ABS, TCS, SLIP LIGHTS...DO I NEED NISSAN TO REPROGRAM OR WHAT IS THE ISSUE?? I TOOK IT TO NISSAN AND THE GUY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE SENSORS WHICH I DONT BELIEVE BECAUSE THEY WERE WORKING JUST FINE PRIOR TO THE GUY DISCONNECTING THEN RECONNECTING...I JUST NEED CONFIRMATION. ANYONE HAD A SIMILAR ISSUE OR KNOWS THE HONEST ANSWE?? APPRECIATE IT

Take it back to the guy that F'ed it up and make him fix it. You're not responsible for his shotty work.

THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE BUT I DONT WANT TO WASTE TIME ARGUING W SOMEONE IF IT HAS TO GET REPROGRAMMED ANYWAY. NISSAN THEMSELVES ARE TRYING TO TELL ME TO REPLACE ALL SENSORS WHICH WOULD COST ME 800 BUCKS...NO WAY ALL SENSORS BLEW AT THE SAME TIME

What Im saying is, if in fact the sensors DO need to be replaced as a result of this guy going plug/unplug crazy then he is at fault and needs to correct it. Did you plug in and check codes? Maybe they just need to be cleared since he disconnected everything and then reconnected? Maybe he did this all with the battery connected? Im not really sure if that matters or what the possible cause/solution is, but I would personally be all up this guy's business about it.

Oh BTW welcome to NICO.

The guy responsible for causing you further problems with his lack of quality control with respect to his work is the guy that needs to fix it. If you're not willing to go back to him and have him correct his error on your repair, then get prepared to be railed by the dealer to fix it.

Sounds like a trip to the dealer is inevitable anyway. Do you have any aftermarket electronics?
