i ordered the stock diameter underdrive pulley for my 07 G sedan.

getting it installed on next week thurs. im going to get a base line dyno done with my current mods. HFC, intake, groundwire. and then they will install the pulley and do an after dyno. the tuner told me there wont be much of a "hp/tq" gain. it does use stock belts so all it is that its lighter, so the inertia moves faster making it a lot easier to spin and the result being faster uprevs. so my rpms will climb quicker giving quicker acceleration. pics vids all in time guys

ya its the lightweight stock size pulley from Unorthodox Racing. im getting mine from the tuner thats gonna put it in. i know stillen.com is having a special on them thats actually the cheapest out there.but im getting install and dyno too, so im paying a little more for the pulley as if i got it offline but the install and dyno runs are waay discounted.

Just curious, but why not the underdrive set?? Just the crank pulley being underdrive will cause small problems but with the underdrive set the crank is smaller but the alt. and w.p. pulleys are actually bigger to keep the rotation the same speed on those parts....and lighter all the way around too. Thats how my set is anyway.

<------See the name??

Of course its not UR! I got a cheap set and took it to work and checked the runout and straightness on the lathe. No problems, looks great! What horror stories have you heard?? I had a crank only underdrive pulley on the 350 in my blazer and burned up 2 alternators before I pulled it off. ANYONE LOOKING FOR A 350 CRANK UNDERDRIVE PULLEY.....REALLY CHEAP!! IMHO I would never use a crank only setup again....it causes everything else on the pulley system to rotate slower.....that doesn't always mean less wear and longer life. It means cooling is no longer at an optimum level nor is the alternator. Just sumthin to think about before putting it on the heart of your car. ONCE AGAIN......just my opinion

You suck. Telling me that you want to get HFC and asking me to start a group buy again but then saying you don't have the money. Here you are and everywhere I see you buying more stuff....

Underdrive pulleys are perfectly fine as long as you don't plan on having a big stereo. There has been a lot of discussion on this in the past.

OP is getting the LIGHTWEIGHT STOCK SIZE pulley, not underdrive

yea i know hes not getting the underdrive version. do you think the ebay one would be worth it? i dont think it should have a problem. i might just get the underdrive version, because of what cheapazz said. the ebay ones are like 90. u think i should go for it??... wen i have the money lol. im like already planning mods before hand. oh dude y havent you gotten a strut bar yet? get the circuit sports strut bar. ive asked a bunch of people who own it and they said it is definetly worth the money. it is much cheaper than the gtspec and the richie. btw u cant get the stillen mc brace if you want to get a strut bar. that sucks. im choosing strut bar over the brace.

First off, what is this about the underdrive sets having smaller crank pulleys and larger accessory pulleys? This is the first time I've heard this. I see some benefits, but for the most part it sounds pointless.

2nd, I can't speak for all eGay pulleys, but the one Tony (Riverside Infiniti) installed was made of a soft aluminum and something on the setup started wearing the pulley away.

The two issues with crank pulleys are balance and durability. I personally won't go with a cheap eGay pulley even though it would save serious change.

I understand what yer sayin bout the pointlessness of having the acc. pulleys larger but the way it works out is the same. Everything starts at the crank.....if its lighter and smaller it will still have the same benefits, now put a slightly larger more lightweight pulley on the things that would have impact on the health of your motor, i.e. the water pump and alternator, and the benefits are the same. As far as the "egay" comment....should I change my name to cheapazzgayguythatusesebayforbetterdealssothatmakesmegay? If thats the case.....come to Reno, I'll buy you a steak dinner and introduce you to my Rotts. Then steal your grounding kit and park yer car in the mountains for the coyotes to eat. HAHAHA

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD DRIVE

I'll give you props for your exhaust, but eBay is NOT the place I shop for parts. It's great if you can find name brands for better prices, but most of the no-name crap will make you wish you sprung for the good stuff.

It's kind of like the STB I bought for my I30. Yeah it worked. And yeah, I saved about $100, but it was flexible. That aspect defeated the purpose of having an STB in the first place.

Oh I totally agree, buy with caution & cunning. Deffinately pick and choose. I mostly go for small stuff like lights, clear dark marker lights and the like. But sometimes yer just so serious and intense.........I HAVE TO PULL YER CHAIN! Take that 'n like it! J/K
