07 specv speed limiter

newbie here with an 07 specv.it cuts me off at 117 with 1000 rpms and another gear left.any mods i can use to bypass the comp without replacing/modding it?70,000 miles left on the warranty.

I'd have expected 129 or 139, odd.

Anyway, with the way modern ECU's work I don't think it's possible. There might be a wire somewhere you could cut, but insofar as I know no one has bothered. Even if you could, you'd likely throw a code or otherwise instantly void your warranty.

There's no legitimate reason to be going faster anyway unless you're running on some circuit with a seriously long straightaway.

try taking the fuse out for your meter, its located by your left knee. you wont know your RPMS or speed but if you gota gps you can see how fast your going.. lol only thing i can think of, ive had my 07 sentra 2.0 up to 120 idk why yours would cut off.

Haven't gotten my Spec above 110 (not enough straightaways around here), but I haven't heard anything about a governor on any Nissans.

Nissan ECUs are a tough nut to crack. The Last Gen Spec would indeed get to 130 (Dont ask how i know) i havent heard of anyone complaining about being cut off at 117.

are you serious???i have the mr20de with the cvt and ive taken it to close to 130 no lie.....

why dont you get the bully dog tunner? the 2.5s altimas are limited at 110 MPH because of crappy factory tires and with the bully dog tunner someone set there limiter to 160 MPH.... you can look at a big thread in the altima coupe section.... 3.5se altima coupe CVT has a limiter at 135 MPH and i usually only go 120-130 anyways so im not worried about that but theres other benefits too like increasing the timing, getting rid of the gradual limiter (car not allowing FULL throttle past 90 MPH).
