A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

So my sister has an '07 Sentra and I borrowed it for a couple days. Well when I was not stuck in traffic on the highway I noticed that the volume of the stereo would go up and down erratically...I don't think it's the speed sense thing because it sometimes gets quieter when speeding. Also when I plug in an iPod and turn the volume up on the iPod, the stereo lowers the volume automatically...but the volume number on the screen doesn't change. I was wondering if anyone else had this problem or had any ideas to what the problem might be.

She has an '07 Sentra 2.0S with the convenience thing (i.e. bluetooth hands free, trip comuter...ect) Nothing has been done to it(as in mods or anything like that) except for driving it.--Thanks

Did you try turning off the speed sensitive volume thing? It could be causing problems even thought you are stationary? Wait you say you aren't stationary. In that case this is sort of a known problem.

I haven't noticed this but I have an SE R.

its normal. The stock system changes when you get close to a point where you can have hearing damage. Since not all songs are recorded at the same level, the songs will sound louder or quieter depending on the db.

Yeah I turned off the speed sense and it still did the same thing. Also it happens on one song sometimes where the song volume is constant. I listen to some heavy rock and some light pop and it happens on everything.Maybe I'll just take it to the dealer...great

that's the whole reason why i replaced my factory deck.. i got tired of jamming out with out my radio jammin with me.. you could barely turn it up.. if u replace it, you'll discover that the factory speakers will perform perfectly, and u can crank it up to over 160 db... so, don't take it to the dealer, it's normal.. just buy an aftermarket radio.Thanks. Jon.
