Greetings all! New user, sorry for the hasty non-introduction but I had a question/issue.

I found this topic in another forum concerning some mounts that dampened the bucking of the motor.
http://specvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=1440

I don't believe anyone produces an aftermarket although some forum users were almost very lucky.
The SpecV uses the same mounts as the SER's, which I don't think do well handling the extra power.

If you have someone start your engine while you look at it, the current torque mounts are not cutting it. Which I also suspect could lead to motor mounts having issues as well.

I've found this company that makes some for the 2004 year.

They look like a universal fit, the only issue I could see is specific lengths.

Anyone have any input on this?

I have one on my 06, and it does really help. These won't fit on the B16 because of where there TQ damper is mounted to. One end goes on the strut mount and the other on the right side engine mount.

There is a guy on another forum making some for the B16, I'll check with him.

I really hope there is a recall or aftermarket mount available soon... clearly the mounts are a faulty design... esp the front lower left (driver) mount.

You could always go old school and fill the open parts of the lower mounts with polyurethane sealant :)

Been there done that... won't be doing that again. Although I had a completely rusted out Isuzu trooper for a while that I filled the body mounts in and it worked great! You really want the polyurethane construction adhesive though!
