07 Sentra 2.0 recall

Hi guys. I just wanted to share some, maybe, important news. There happen to be a recall for the Master Brake Cylinder. I happen to work of the recall this past friday. I don't know how vast this recall is, but I know that the part in question is important.

Hey DarkAquarius, what are the symptoms that you had before you took it in to replace the Master Brake Cylinder? I know when I back out of the drive way or take turns, I hear a squeaky noise. The Nissan dealer says it's nothing, just moisture trapped between the brakes. My SL is only a 2007 and will be at 26,000 miles soon and I don't do a lot of brake slamming so I don't think I wore the brake pads out already. Does it sound like I need to bring it back to the dealer?

I guess I was not up to date with the recalls, jeje.

Not much really. The only thing I really experience is when I brake firmly, and the closer I come to a full stop, I feel my car 'jolt' a bit. Almost if the engine were to quit on me or the revs are to low. But other than that, all ok. No sweaking.

The symptom is you get your brake warning light when your fluid runs low from the leak. It's the same light they use to warn you about the parking brake being on. So if that light doesn't goes off after you released the ebrake or it comes on intermittently while you are in the car. You have a problem.

The recall covers all 07 and some 08 Sentra. It took a year for my warning light to come on so best to call your dealer and have your VIN checked.

I contacted the service dept. and verified my VIN on friday. I should have it fixed this week. Thanks.
