07 Sedan Suspension Problem

First let me apologise for the no pics, ill post some tomorrow due to the fact my dog ate my USB connection cord to my camera.

I have an 07 Altima Sedan. Ive always noticed the back to be lower than usual but I never made anything of it. I did a measure and its 1" lower than factory. I could barly squeeze my index finger streight across the top of the wheel wheel (outer) to the top of my tire. I just barely noticed that its obviously not supposed to be that way due to driving 3 other people around in my car looking at model homes. My car bottomed out countlessly and was just emberassing. I do have pictures on my camera, just no usb cord so I will upload them for you to see tomorrow. I am going to the dealership in about an hour to have them look at it as well.

Just wondering if anyone else in a sedan has this same problem?

As far as the fender/wheel spacing is concerned, it's a normal thing for the Altima model. If you look at ALL Altima's, there is a larger gap up front than there is in the rear. I'm going to guess that you have the 2.5, am I right? If so, the reason you're bottoming out under heavy load is because the suspension is too soft. Even with my 3.5's stiffer "sport" suspension, with myself and 3 other people, I'll ocassionally bottom out on speed bumps.

i have a 3.5 SE Sedan and i too have noticed this but i don't think it's as severe as you mentioned...

Only happened to me once and of course I happen to have 3 people in the car.

Well I just got back from the dealership and they saw my rear suspension was leaking Due to it being SO low. So they ordered in new rear shocks for me and everything will be covered by the Warranty. .

As for Lowering springs in the group by Ill look into it. still want to buy 18"ers first befor i look at new springs.

and Genereic yes its a 2.5s

wow well im glad to see sombody had a good experience at the dealership I love my dealership, but i always read about how horrible everyone else's is
