hello i have owned a qx56 for some time now but never really messed with anything on it. My question is, is it possible to watch the DVD movie thats playing on the flip down in the back, while im driving or even stopped in the front Navi screen? My QX has the nav/cd screen up front and a dvd player inside the arm rest console. and it has the factory little flip down in the back. thank you

Do you have a DVD rom drive for the Nav System underneath your passenger seat?

Yes, I can help, I performed this mod on my '04 QX56. You can actually view the DVD from the back screen on the front screen as well, and you can even view it while you are driving. You need to purchase the unit from TV and Nav 2 Go at http://www.tvandnav2go.com/

When I did the mod, they did not have the new "plug & play" model available. I am not sure if you want that or if you want to wire it the original model. I actually connected the unit in at the back of the DVD rom under your seat. Then you install a toggle switch somewhere (like in your center console) to flip your front screen from Nav to DVD. The unit also has an input to connect a video game system or other items using audio/video cables.

Does this all make sense? Are you a pretty handy guy?
