I have an 07 Nissan sentra 2.0, and the other day while driving it started loosing the acceleration out of no where. I was told that the MAF sensor went, so I bought a new one and it made it sound better but it did not solve the problem. My rmp's go up but I can hold the gas to the floor and the acceleration will not go above 10mph. Any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Are there any check engine lights on? What made you (or whoever told you) believe it was the MAF?

I can tell you from experience that the MAF sensor is exceedingly temperamental. If you have done anything to change the volume of air coming in then it loves to start choking out. Check your filter, make sure is clean and there are no holes. Check the piping all the way to the manifold and make sure everything is tight. If you try to use a pod or cone filter, DONT. The best you can do is either a k&n filter or a harmonic tuned full length CAI. I am using a Stillen CAI with no problems, but like I said, the whole system is very very picky about how much is coming in at what speed. The only other thing I can think of is a voltage issue. I haven't seen that come up so I can't say, worth a look though.

sorry for the large image. . .couldn't get the size tags to function :/
