So i attempted to install a dvd bypass i ordered (Beat-Sonic TVK-35 DVD and NAVI Control Bypass Module) for my imported from japan 2007 nissan fuga, Removed glove compartment disconnected DVD player plugged in the module then plugged in oem plug and grounded the wire from the module. Closed back up the glove compartment.. excited about finally getting this done.

Started the engine... clicked the switch to TV... absolutely nothing except some different sound in the speakers it seems... like turning the volume down on the right. Came back to this site to look at the post for hacking the dvd for 06 infiniti m35 then i noticed one huge difference. The wiring is completely different than the OEM plug thats behind the DVD in the nissan fuga.

After spending $125 for that module i was pissed and i decided i am going to make this work... So i blindly started trying different colors without worrying about what i may cause to the car. Trial and error i guess... plugged to the pink wire (2nd wire) (assuming its handbrakes) via the module. I was determined to not cut the original plug. Didnt make a difference so i tried the green wire (4th wire) it didnt worked but i now had a bigger problem.. my entire dashboard lights were gone, the deck is off, my rear lights are off, my license plate light is off, Engine starts but i can see a a picture with KeyID on the screen behind the steering wheel... heart starting beating quickly, i just bought this car.. yikes.

Starting searching this forum like a mad man looking for a solution, it seems everyone suggested bottom 3 red 10a fuses which after translating says Stop Lamp, Room Lamp, Intelligent Key. I did remove them and inspected them, Looked fine to me but still went to the store a bought 3 new 10a fuses. Plugged them in... nothing changed. Called my mechanic and explained everything i am posting here now, He says he believes i damaged a wire under the dashboard somewhere since i shorted out the system. I will be taking it to him tomorrow with the hopes he can get it fixed.

While my main priority is getting the car back to its former glory I am still interested in getting this dvd hack done. Since clearly the oem plug for the nissan fuga is different than its infiniti m35 clone... how do i find which wire is the Nav and which is the hand brake. Also has anyone experience this lights out on dashboard, no rear lights, blowers for ac blowing at high issue before.

Sorry about this long post, i guess i am still nervous about this entire experience.

Sorry you're having trouble. I'm sure one of our more knowledgeable 'electronics' guys will chime in shortly.

Where exactly are you located, that you were able to import a Fuga?! I'm a little more than mildly jealous.

MANY super knowledgeable members here have wiring diagrams posted in their signatures. Next time you need to know, use the search feature in the 35/45 forum for the Wiring Diagram. I've seen some members have the Fuga diagram posted as well. It will save you from the tylenol bottle ;)

I live in the Caribbean. I have been searching the forums.. alot...lol. The only thing i could find regarding a fuga wiring diagram was someone asking about it and someone responding saying PM sent. Beyond that cant find anything. Also i am not really qualified to be doing this stuff.... not very engineering savvy. I was more looking for the information to perhaps assist the mechanic if he was having any challenges.

well i got some good news... the mechanic was able to get everything back working. Apparently it has another fuse behind the glove compartment.. inline fuse i think was the word he used. So everything is good again. Now just gotta figure out these colors so i can get this DVD in motion to work.
