Can't believe that Infiniti set up a system that won't let anyone program the nav system without pullling over and setting the parking brake?! why can't the passenger do it while underway?

is there someway to get full programming capability of the nav system while driving down the highway? i've been doing it for 10 years with various Garmins, TomTom's, and Magellan's and haven't had a problem yet! can't believe big brother doesn't give us the ability to choose how to use the nav system..are you listening Infiniti?

I don't want to be anywhere near you when you are programming one of those other navagation systems. An accident waiting to happen.

That option is something that liability laws force Infiniti to do, like the warning screen on startup. Those handheld units don't have to do that because they are not installed in a car!

I find it frustrating as well, but I did discover that there is a lot you can do through voice commands. I can set a new destination while driving with voice commands. Its nice in that you don't have to take your eyes off the road.
