07 M35 Stopped accelerating & shut off

Was getting on highway, pushed accelerator, accelearted some more & car stopped accelerating. Pushed accelerator & nothing happened. Because of this, car was slowing down & I pulled off to shoulder. Put car in Park. After a few seconds, put it in drive again, pushed accelerator & nothing. Put it back in park & after a few more seconds, car sputtered & shut off. It wouldn't start up again. I have power, lights, windows & radio work. Had it towed home. Any thoughts on what is wrong?

Car is obviously getting power so it is not a spark. Maybe it could be fuel related....fuel pump

Yeah, sounds more like a problem with fuel than anything. Would it turn over after it sputtered and died?

No, pushed the button to start & nothing & brake pedal is all the way down-locked -(have to push on brake to start)
