All right, guys!
I was exhausted by my job in the past 1.5 months, finally got a chance to post the paddle shifters installations on my 07 M35. I will upload some of pics, simple words and some reference from the other sites, so we may have some discussion then.
**For 05~07 Model, you have to shift to Sport mode and then can use paddle shifters**
**For 08+ Model, you can use paddle shifters in both Drive and Sports mode, the function is like other HR engine models of Nissan or Infiniti**
Firstly, you will need to get some things below.
- Paddle shifters
- Steering Column (Most challenge to get the suitable one for guys live out of Japan)
- 5-ports relay * 2 (Not necessary for 08+ model with minor change)
- One steering clock spring as spare.
Originally, I supposed to plug and play with the package gotten form Japan yahoo auction, it's from Y50 type-s which is only sold in Japan
Well, the final issue couldn't be overcome is about the combination switch, even I got one of left driving from M37, and follow the FSM for wiring, it's still not recognized by BCM. If somebody have experience on this, it would be awesome and easier.
Then, let's go back to the actual situation.
I happened to find the steering column of Japan Y50 model is such different than other countries, the middle section. It will give you more margin space to mount the paddle shifters.
I found some owners have done with this, but cannot put the power steering switch back to the original space, but not for me.
Man I wished you lived near. I'd pay you to upgrade mine to this.
For the sake of conversation, how much are you willing to pay?
What's goin on brother. We corresponded before about a radio for the M. I'm glad this forum has your knowledge here as well. And after acquiring all the required parts I'd be willing to spend for the labor of between 200 and 350. I'm not to well with pricing and throwing numbers out there for others labor but I'd start there.

Thanks SmoovE.
I was curious as to what the market for such a product for the M would be if someone could get it done. However, I realize St. Louis is too far from almost everybody, so a plug in kit for sale might make more sense.
I should attempt it, I'm sure I can find spare wiring and a spare car to test out.
Thanks SmoovE.

Kudos to s75052 for sharing his work
Thanks Ed!
For me, I would like to have any input about the combination switch (M37/Q70) and BCM communication rather than the hard hand work. If we can figure out how the BCM works, everything will goes much easier, really only plug-in.
Really looking forward to seeing any information about this!!

Explain this again please.
Which combination switch are we talking about, turn signal? mode selector?
Or rather, what does this do on the M37 that it's not doing on your car? How are you getting around that functionality right now?

Hi Ed,
Yes, I mean the turn signal and wiper switch, which is always going through the BCM for triggering. You may find the initial in this post that Y50 FUGA Type-S in Japan really had the OEM paddle shifters as same as M37, and I have the kit already. But the problem now is that the BCM cannot recognize the signal from combination switch, even I re-wired the cables based on the FSM of M37. I also checked the P/N and picture of Y50 Type-s BCM, it looks almost same as ours. I'm wondering if the IPDM after BCM is also the issue as well.
Even I can get the Type-S BCM, I have no FSM for FUGA version, and the switches location of turn signal and wiper is opposite in right steering than left.

Where could I purchase or should I say exactly what paddle shifter model should I purchase for my M35. I'm sure there is someone or a shop in the City of New York that has. even doing this and can. It seems like a definite undertaking for me. Lol

The OEM paddle shifter is same as G37, Q50, you may find it on ebay.
