07 M35 AUX

Yooooo, hoping someone can help get me in the right direction.

I've had my 07 M35 for a bit now, but I've never been able to figure out my AUX cord situation. I do not have an AUX button, but do have an AUX cord along with another old iPhone jack coming out from the bottom of my center console which I believe are both aftermarket. I've done a bit of research and do know that the old iPhone jack runs through the satellite radio, but again... haven't been able to figure it out. I've tried hooking up to the AUX cord itself and selecting DISC to then (hopefully) see an AUX icon pop up for me to press, but it never pops up almost as if it's not sensing anything.

Anyone have some guidance? I do find it kind of ridiculous that there isn't an AUX built in, but at this point that's irrelevant. The radio drives me nuts and my CD player is officially broken (disc read error BS) which I have no intent on fixing.

Do you know which module you have, GROM or PAC?
I assume you bought the car as is/ didn't install it yourself.

Since you mention the satellite, that helps narrow it down. Look for threads here ( search AUX or iPOD) and if the threads don't have operational instructions posted, then the manuals for the module can be found online.

That's what I'd do, short of just checking what's connected to the back of the headunit.
