Hey guys! Just bought a 07 g35x, and needed a few questions answered about winter tires and the TPMS.

1)I had an 04-05G35x and ran 225/55/17 winters on them, they're still in good shape and wondering if I could use them on the 07 I just bought? I got steelies for them and was wondering if the bolt pattern has change, I'm hoping it hasn't soI can use what I have.

2) Do I have to put sensors on my winter tires (on my steelies)???? If I don't, my understanding is that the warning light will be on all the time, is this true???

3) If the TPMS warning light is on all the time with the winters on, will the system go back to normal when I put the summers back on or will I have to get someone (dealer) to reset the TPMS?

Thanks guys!

Hey:

I'm wondering how the G35x will perform with the all seasons that it normally has. Can anyone comment on the previous gen G35x and how that did with all seasons? I live in DC, so not a ton of snow...

The first year I had the 04 g35x I didn't put snow tires on and while I thought it was ok, I did notice that there was occasional slippage. The following year when I put the snow tires on I noticed a real difference. The car definitely felt more stable in the snow. There was also slippage, but I had to push the car more to get it to slip.

I live in Toronto Canada so, we do get dumped on....If in doubt I say get the tires. You'll notice the difference

I went thru last winter with my G on all season tires. I had no issue what so ever. It did a good job. I switched tires few months ago. I am rolling on Falken 912 all season. It is running good so far. Wet traction good I haven't get enough snow to say anything yet.

I would not buy winter tires but that just me. If you have them from your previous car sure use them. Tire sensor will be on all the time. You have to disable it if it is bothering you.
