I love my G, and have had it now for almost a month. I do have a question??? My wife had a 2006 lexus IS350. We found that there was a way to get the NAV system to work while driving. I cannot find anyone who knows how to do it with this car. If there is someone that knows the ins and outs technology wise of this vehicle then feel free to respond. Basically you cant control the NAV screen if you are driving. I can use the Voice Activation but not the screen. I also cant figure out a way to get my doors to lock at 15mph or when I pull away. The doors do NOT lock when I drive away?? Why is this. I've checked all the features. I have all packages avail for this car. Can someone please help, I did call my Rep @ Infiniti and he said "he'll look into it".

That's what i noticed as well. I've seen the nav on the honda's, and you can change settings when your moving, but not with the infiniti. If anyone knows how you can change it, that would be great.

I haven't heard anytrhing about the 07's yet, but if it can be done, it's probably going to require putting a stich on a wire. If it's anything like the previos versions, disconnecting the speed sensor wire will allow you to program the nav, but won't register movement on the nav screen until you reconnect the wire.

Is the auto-locking a feature on the 07's? I don't think earlier models had it (to my knowledge).

Not sure if it even has the auto-locking feature, just figured it would as even my 03 ram had it and my 06 explorer has it too. I am still looking for more input on the Nav though. I am hoping there is a way to get into a subsystem (by using the touchscreen) like there was on my IS350..HHMMM?? Anyone???

http://www.kptechnologies.net/ makes a product that will allow Nav to be used while driving... also bypasses the requirement of pressing the "OK" button every start-up.

Oh yeah! There's a VDC memory module... so you can turn it off and leave it off! Hope there's a part in the instructions on how to make that little module self destruct if you're in an accident so that the adjustor can't find it.

Does your insurance company require you to have VDC on at all times to be covered in an accident?

Please don't use Bold for your entire text.

Also, no, the doors don't lock automatically. I know "to each his own", but I'd have a fit if my doors did that. There's a wonderful little button on your door that when pressed, locks all of the doors Press it when you get in

I drove a G35 loaner car and i don't remember having problems with the NAV while driving. I think it was an 07.
