'07 G35x A/C stopped working

This afternoon I was driving around with my family in the G35x, and suddenly the A/C stopped working. Specifically, the air started feeling warmer, and despite my turning the auto temperature down further, the air didn't get any colder. Felt like it would if the A/C freon or whatever they use these days is out... Strange on a new car. Has anyone else had this happen, and if so, what ended up being the problem? I guess I'll have to take the car in on Monday.

When I got back into the car later, the A/C still wasn't working. If I turned it off completely, I heard a loud grinding noise coming from the front of the car and that noise didn't stop until I switched the A/C back on. I left it on the minimum possible setting. I will take it in on Monday.
