I just bought an 07 G35 Sedan (sport wheel package) and it has an annoying whistle that starts about 45mph and and continues on until 65mph or so when it's drowned out by other sounds I think. It sounds like it's coming from the bottom center of the front windshield, but it's hard to tell as it may be coming from both sides. I've taped up all kinds of stuff and haven't been able to get rid of it. I taped windshield and mirrors with no change. I can lessen the whistling by folding the side view mirrors inward so I'm leaning towards the side view mirrors. I wrapped the wipers to ensure it wasn't them. Dealer has tried twice to fix with no success and I don't have confidence in them, plus my warranty is now up and I don't think they'll work on it for free. Any ideas?

Where did you tape your mirror? Try to tape it where it folds see if that takes the noise away. Usually windnoise can come on higher speed not 45mph.

I taped it where it folds all around that seem. It really is a whistle more than a wind noise. I've tried turning off the climate control too. I haven't taped up the sunroof because the sound seems to be coming from the lower front windshield. It is strange and seems to be worse in cold weather making me think it's something plastic. could it possibly be front tires or the front grille? The car has some Toyo's on the front and Michelin's on the back.

I figured it out. It was the rubber seal on the leading edge of the hood. I tightened the hood anchors and the problem went away. I'll be asking the dealer to replace the rubber trim to resolve the problem once and for all.
