Thought I'd throw it out there to see what you all like more or less about your M compared to a G if you've taken one out as a loaner

The first thing I noticed was the G, will lose traction in the back end almost immediately hitting the gas around a corner w/ VDC "on" whereas my M has practically never lost traction.

I like the exhaust tone a bit more in the G

The seats seem like they'd be real uncomfortable in a road trip, w/ the bolsters and no lumbar

I had a 07 G35X as a loaner about a month ago when my car got an alignment. Yeah exhaust sound has more bark to it. I'm a big guy but the car was still comfortable. But I would not be able to use the back seat if I owned the car. You could also tell that it handled better due to less weight. I think the interior in the M is better though.

I've had a 08 G35x, 08 EX35, and a 09 G37x all as loaners and in terms of acceleration the G takes off like a rocket ship. Part of it is due to the all wheel drive system. Even with VDS off and you launch it you get no wheel spin at all. Get into a G37 and you will feel a difference in power right away. Definetly one fast car. Interior wise the G does have a cheap aluminum trim which I didn't like at all. Steering wheel is nice and thick and it's more of a drivers focus car where's the M your like laid back chillin. Gas mileage ain't bad on the G. Drive it normally you will be getting over 19mpg wheres my M would get 12mpg no matter how slow you drive it.

I actually like the G35 a lot - it is lighter and more tossable. Since I have a small frame, the seat feels perfect for me - my previous car was a Honda Prelude, so it is like a step up, but all the feeling are very similar - firm suspension, crisp handling, strong acceleration, low seat position.

The only reason I get the M is I want a bigger car for the back seat and I prefer to seat far away from the steering wheel. Also, the M is more upscale with more luxury touch. But, I would not complain if someone swap his G35 with me for a week or two.
