I really like the video & audio AUX input of the G35 (I have the G35x sedan). While it would be nice to also have an iPod-specific interface (so that the iPod can be controlled via the steering wheel), the advantage of the AUX input is that you can use plug-in just about anything that has audio/video outputs. There are many remote controls available for the iPod. Many of these work via RF, so that the remote doesn't have to point directly at the iPod. You can get these RF remotes just about anywhere. I saw one that looked pretty good at Target the other day. It comes with a module that plugs into the bottom of the iPod. The remote itself is small and black, and can be placed anywhere in the car.
However, I'm waiting for the Sendstation CruiseControl. It's also an RF remote, but is designed to be attached to the steering wheel. It's not available yet. I emailed SendStation, and they said it is scheduled to be available 2nd quarter of 2007. They also said that it will not get in the way of the airbag, if the airbag deploys. Sendstation's web site (
http://www.sendstation.com) doesn't have information about this product yet, but I read about it in iLounge, and information is also available in the following URL:

It looks really promising!
