07 G Cruise Control

Greetings All,

RE: 2007 G35X Sedan (Auto) w/o Tech Package Has anyone experienced an issue with the cruise control (non-intelligent) constantly accelerating/decelerating when going down a grade? I found that the engine has a difficult time maintaining speed on a down grade and seems to 'fight' with itself trying to maintain a constant speed. Being from western PA we have very few flat roads/interstates.

Before I question the dealer, I thought I would drop a post here.

I have 2007 G35S. I too have noticed it and when I am going downhill I disable it because it is irritating.

hmmmm you know i had my g for 3m and didnt even try the cruise control out .... ill try it out and let u know

I am glad I am not the only one experiencing this issue. I left a message on Infiniti's web site to see if they are aware of the issue and going to do anything about it. I would think that a computer/control fix would do the trick. But then again I am not an Japanese automotive engineer.

I think you're right. It would be just tweaking the computer.

Well, here is the scoop. I just returned from the dealership and I ask about the downhill surging with the cruise control. I have been told that is a characteristic of the 07. The car, adaptive cruise or not, does this. The car has preview braking which prepares the car for a stop and it also works as part of the cruise control to maintain the speed. The only thing to do is disable the cruise while going downhill and resume it when at the bottom. BUMMER!! They tell me that they call the "biggies" everytime they get a complaint but mothing will be done. Also, the throttle sensitivity cannot be adjusted either.
