Hi,Has anyone seen a fix to bypass the video cut out that occurs when the '07 G-35 goes over 4 mph.

I have tried bypassing the emergency brake switch, but once the car is moving over 4 mph you get the brake warning on the dash and you again loose the video.

I want to use it with my video iPod.

Thanx in advance!joel

Hi,

I just placed a small thin spacer on the emergency brake lever that kept it from just touching the switch.

I asked the same question a week or so back. I got the response that there have been a million question like that before. Search the forum for video ..... I could not find an answer but then again I'm not sure how to search... I'd like to know as well. I have a video Zune player, same issue.

Alright wise guy, I know how to search.

I cannot however find any real info about this exact question by searching. I should have explained my point better. If it's answered somewhere on this forum we'd all just like to know. I think it's a 2007 question and doubt the work around is exactly like with other model years, I could be wrong. Do older G35's have RCA input jacks? Do older cars have the ability to play DVD's, or have a speed sensor? That's truly a question, I don't know.

That spacer ideas sounds suspect. I think the opposite would be true. The sensor that lets the car know the brake is depressed would need to constantly be in contact not the other way around.

Hi,

The emergency brake switch has a single (+) wire going to it. The switch is also grounded.

The single wire goes to the AV ECU. I was able to get a wiring diagram from the dealer.

I am a mechanic and they know me.

Placing a small spacer on the emergency brake mechanism did allow the video to go through to the GPS screen. UNTIL the car reached 4 mph and then the video was again cut out.

hope this helps,

there are a lot of people who would like to find a work around for the video cut out problem. The speed sensor seems to be causing the problem. We need to find out how to bypass it.

Hey fellas,

I have been wanting to know this as well and I found this link that explains a way around it. http://answers.yahoo.com/quest...ISvrz

Just remember that by doing this you will disable the navigation locator while the "switch" is on and the car won't track its position. Once the switch is turned off it will go ahead and map its position. Also, I think it disables the fuel economy/Vehicle Status system for the time that the switch is turned on; if anyone really cares about the MPG or those types of things.

Yes it should work for 07 and 08 but from 09 they will be conected to the GPS and GPS will sense if you are in motion.

Right now if you disconect your e brake should work.
