till you take it to a track with corners and run through it for 24 hours straight.NissanFairladyZ32 wrote:]
NSX !!
i guess dont be afraid when racing an nsx ... i just guess they are not as as i thought
This was not a well thoughout comment. First of all, what do you mean by "designed"? Looks, motor, suspension or just plain "old"? There were plenty of cars that were made 15+ years ago that can still compete with cars that are made today. Example- 300zx, Supra, Skyline GT-R, Corvette, Mustang Cobra and the list goes on. I have a 1972 Datsun 240z and it has a N/A l28 with air and exhaust and I can go head to head and start to pull a Porsche Cayenne Turbo. But then again, my car is really old.spitalul2bad wrote:The NSX is a car designed in 1990... comparing it to a car designed in 2002 is a wee-bit unfair...
corvette, 300zx, supra, gt-r......yesbut not a mustang. in 94, the mustang was an absolute dog, probably one of the worst ones ever...... i owned an 87 gt with lots put into and stock z's today are running faster times than i was around limerockthe cobra R came out in rare form in 95, but that too will still have a hard time keeping up with a z around a trackthe only mustang I can think of that can compete with and beat the z is the 2000 cobra R and 03/04 sc cobrasrb30dett wrote:This was not a well thoughout comment. You missed my point with the Mustang Cobra. I didn't mean only 1990, just cars in general around the time period, give or take a few years. All in all, I was refering to a thoughtless comment and was itching to say something.ldstang50 wrote:

I find that hard to believe. What does a stock l28 push? 135/145 hp? +I/E let's say 5 hp even 10...155hp? That's what a cayenne turbo makes in low rpm's...rb30dett wrote:...I have a 1972 Datsun 240z and it has a N/A l28 with air and exhaust and I can go head to head and start to pull a Porsche Cayenne Turbo....
I know what you mean...as far as the power difference. To tell you the truth I thought it was ridiculous myself. Fun little car though. Not trying thread jack but it is for sale. Look it up in the classifieds if your interested.xjmxstac wrote:You're car has been my dream car since high school. Yes, I actually have thrown the idea around. But, my plans changed when I opened my big mouth and offered to sell my Z to buy my wife a bigger car.xjmxstac wrote:thanks rb30dett. Sorry for veering off topic, OP. BTW you ever thought of slapping a rb30 in your 240z? There's a member in here who has done so...or was it an rb26...Anyhow it looks sweet
I would never own an NSX. I know your talking used but I don't see how anyone can spend 90k on a Honda. At this same time you could buy a Louts Esprit, Z06, Viper, 911 Carrera and all these cars were just as fast or faster and look just as good. Also you I don't think you own a Z so I doubt you know how it feels to drive. I have had someone this week tell me that when they drove a Z it was more fun to drive then their Z06. They said even though they would go faster in the Vette it felt nothing like driving the Z.ThuG LyFe wrote:i rather take a early 90s nsx than a new 350z. who cares if the z is faster in a straight line, definately doesn't touch the nsx in terms of looks and fun factor.
nsx = japanese exotic350z = nowhere near exotic
I think an 08 z will take an early 90's nsx in the track. The nsx is a overpriced, under powered exotic. I love how it looks like, but i gotta say it lacks power. However, a Lotus Exige, that's a whole other story.ThuG LyFe wrote:i rather take a early 90s nsx than a new 350z. who cares if the z is faster in a straight line, definately doesn't touch the nsx in terms of looks and fun factor.
