My trans in my 04 G35 has the typical 4-5th and 5-6th gear grind. I bought a 6spd with 21k miles on it out of a 2007 350z Nismo for a crazy good deal. I was wondering if it will bolt up. I noticed the throw out bearing setup is completely different. Please let me know ASAP so I can take this trans back if it wont work.

THANKS!

Welcome to NICO!

I'm not a mechanic...but we have a few here. Let me try and round them up for you.

Thank you for any help! I have been on NICO for a long time but that was in the RB and S13 sections mainly. Its been a while so i couldn't remember my log in.
Any how I looked at it and it appears the only difference is the throw out bearing, so i need to know if it will work with my VQ35 or will i need to get a CDOO9 trans.
Thanks!

The flywheel is also different from recollection.

From what i can find on line the clutch is different too along with the slave line which both are not a big deal as i was going to replace them anyway. My question now is: If i replace the Flywheel, clutch, and line with one off of the HQ motor the will it work?

My understanding that is the only difference. But I have not compared them side by side or attempted this swap so just a hunch on my part.

I ended up just returning the HR transmission and buying a new rebuilt CDOO9 transmission with the updated synchronizers. Thanks for your help!
