07 -08 Manual Shifter Problems? Real or not?

After looking around, I have decided to buy a 07 or 08 G35 sedan with the 6-speed. On a few car review websites, I have read that the shifting on a Manual 6-speed car wasn't the best.

Why is this? Is it the shifter or the transmission itself? Is an 07 6-speed G35 sedan worth buying (almost a stupid question for a forum of this title!)

The Infiniti manual transmission is not the best imo. I had problems with my 2005 G35 coupe and it required the transmission to be replaced. I also had an issue with the clutch pedal not coming up from the floor under high RPM shifting. It was bad enough that I decided to go with an AUTO on my 09 G37 sedan...
