all the brakes remained the same in 07 and 08, there is only set f brembo's found on z's and g's of any year, so llogig would dictate.....andy, no good luck finding them in a boneyard

Did you ever take it back to the dealer? It should still be under warranty.

2 seater isn't practical for me right now, so i don't need a z.

if you have 3k miles on your car, there is no way in hell you need new brakes, unless you have a maunfacturer issues (which there really hasn't been any so far) in which case your brakes are covered under your factory warranty. is this also with your new tires, pleumn spacer, other new tires, body kits, wheels, and everything else that you aren't going to put on your car but say you want?

I'd like a 600 hp twin turbo Z. anyone know the junkyard i can get it at?

How do you know what he needs?

So in your total 3000 miles of driving experience you know you need better brakes - Brembos to be precise.

And all the braking power and fade resistance in the world won't help you with crap tires. With winter coming on what you really need are better tires, or better yet put your car in the garage after the first snow and then wait for the spring thaw.

Besides, I thought you were working on a project car.

well the thing with the project car is it either that or build the z i cant decide and i keep going back and forth so idk. i know he wants a z cause he keeps posting in the 350z area. also my friend who has had automotive training at a specialty school said i need to get the brakes fixed the hiss is not good and my rotors don't look good at all.

He's right about getting the thing fixed. It doesn't take a automotive specialist to figure it out. Take it to the dealer! It's a free fix. I don't know why you insist on spending money on something that can be done for free.

Just because he's posting in a Z forum when he doesn't have a Z doesn't necessarily mean that he wants a Z. Some people like to be helpful and share information with others when they can.

Anyway... Although your friend from a specialty school says you need new brakes, I highly doubt in 3k miles you need new ones unless you've been abusing your brakes like a madman. All brakes will make noise regardless of what you have, it's a sports car, not some luxury car.

whatever they are doing is either normal or covered under warranty, maybe you'd be happier just selling the Z, go buy a 240 sx and buy all the bolt on's you can find, I suspect that'd be a better fit for you

If I wanted to buy a Z I would have bought it - not exactly the most expensive car. Maybe you should tell me to go buy a G35, an M35/45, a 240, and every other car that has a Nissan/Infiniti logo on it - I post in all the forums because I'm here to help with my knowledge, not spam about how a GReddy TT on ebay is $8k that you're not going to buy, just like the brembo's you're not going to buy, or the tires you're not going to buy, or the body parts you're going to buy...

You have no need for brembo's. You want the real ones? Go drop the 4 grand to get them put on new. Hell, the junkyard ones might squeek too - then you'd need new brembo's again. Your OEM brakes are adequate enough to stop you when you pull into your HS parking lot...

EARTH TO RICHIE - take your car to the dealer and have it warranty fixed. Stop posting about things that make no sense, and that you are not going to buy. Why do people have brembo brake systems? Because they use their car at the track/race their cars and need the high powered braking ability that they provide - not only will your pads wear faster, they are also more expensive and require more upkeep than the brakes that are on your car right now. Last I checked you had an autotradgic, and you certianly won't be seeing any track time with that.

Ya no need to change the calipers unless its for looks, and no need to do that unless you have some sick wheels. I took my Z to the track and my brakes did amazing. Felt better then my brothers vette. If anything buy some drilled rotors, better pads, and ss lines.

then quit screwing wiht it, or trying to screw with it, or talking about screwing with it, you have a new car with a warranty, you want to change the transmission, add forced induction, big brakes and I don't know what else yet the onlly thing I've seen you buy are some ricer eyelids, at least that won't viod your warranty

well many congrats are in order for all the soccer moms in minivan's you've "smoked" off the line...

Have fun racing with your stock auto Z on the track. It must be tons of fun to mash the pedal and just watch.

The Z is a blast to drive on the track and trust me you dont need new calipers(at least right now). I was at the track a couple weeks ago and brakes did really good. Auto could be pretty dangerous on the track. Its not like the new corvettes where they know your in a turn and they wont shift. If your Z shifts while your in a turn your going to whip out.

have any of you guys with a 6 speed driven an auto z. trust me she wont whip out unless its wet.

I have been learning how to drift her a lil to help me recover when i spin out in the rain and snow. helped big time a few days ago. it was wet out and misting and i was late for school so i have it in Manual shift mode stopped for a stop sign then took off hit the top of first and right before i went to shift she kicked out sending me in to the other lane heading for the woods luckily there was no traffic. if it would have happened 2 weeks ago i would have probably **** my pants and totaled it but for some reason even being out of control i felt in control for the next few seconds i cant really remember all of what i did but it was like a natural instinct i let off the gas a lil counter steered and floored it going back in my lane. later a kid i go to school with asked me what happened and how i did that i really dident know how it became second nature.

when i started driving n the rain and felt the back end come out i figured it would be a good idea to learn how to drift and get it in my brain so i can act quickly. its not just to mess around.

Listen up gaijin - when you're down on the docks burning up tires and practicing your drifting technique make sure to be nice to the guy you see down there with the fishing rod - that's Tsuchiya you know.

Last time I'll say it (to you at least) - get some new tires. If you're breaking traction when its misting out just think what its going to be like come winter. And I'm sure your "drift practice" isn't doing anything to help the tires you're already running on either.

Drifting and wet/snowy weather driving are completely different. Drifting has much more predictiability inherent to it, wet weather has no predictibility, and snow is even worse. You don't know how saturated the pavement is, how wet your tires are, how cold your tires are, etc.

Point in hand - your "drifting" practice isn't going to help you out when you "drift" on some black ice, spin out, and hit a tree. Stop driving like a maniac on public roads.
