Want and need are two different things.R350Zz33 wrote:i want brembo's
How do you know what he needs?R350Zz33 wrote:i want brembo's how do u know what i need and dont need. u need a 350z.
So in your total 3000 miles of driving experience you know you need better brakes - Brembos to be precise.R350Zz33 wrote:got 70 miles to go till i hit 3,000 miles.
Just because he's posting in a Z forum when he doesn't have a Z doesn't necessarily mean that he wants a Z. Some people like to be helpful and share information with others when they can.R350Zz33 wrote:well the thing with the project car is it either that or build the z i cant decide and i keep going back and forth so idk. i know he wants a z cause he keeps posting in the 350z area. also my friend who has had automotive training at a specialty school said i need to get the brakes fixed the hiss is not good and my rotors don't look good at all.
whatever they are doing is either normal or covered under warranty, maybe you'd be happier just selling the Z, go buy a 240 sx and buy all the bolt on's you can find, I suspect that'd be a better fit for youR350Zz33 wrote:they make a hissing/ scratching noise not normal i have seen a lot of sports cars and never herd this. for example tues i saw a henesey viper at my job it was so beautiful.

then quit screwing wiht it, or trying to screw with it, or talking about screwing with it, you have a new car with a warranty, you want to change the transmission, add forced induction, big brakes and I don't know what else yet the onlly thing I've seen you buy are some ricer eyelids, at least that won't viod your warrantyR350Zz33 wrote:no i love my z im never letting her go
well many congrats are in order for all the soccer moms in minivan's you've "smoked" off the line...R350Zz33 wrote:it has many kills already.
The Z is a blast to drive on the track and trust me you dont need new calipers(at least right now). I was at the track a couple weeks ago and brakes did really good. Auto could be pretty dangerous on the track. Its not like the new corvettes where they know your in a turn and they wont shift. If your Z shifts while your in a turn your going to whip out.R350Zz33 wrote:my z will be on a track i was gonna take a trip to a track in nj next summer and i bet the auto transmission stacks up fine on the track. it has many kills already.
Drifting and wet/snowy weather driving are completely different. Drifting has much more predictiability inherent to it, wet weather has no predictibility, and snow is even worse. You don't know how saturated the pavement is, how wet your tires are, how cold your tires are, etc.R350Zz33 wrote: have any of you guys with a 6 speed driven an auto z. trust me she wont whip out unless its wet.
I have been learning how to drift her a lil to help me recover when i spin out in the rain and snow. helped big time a few days ago. it was wet out and misting and i was late for school so i have it in Manual shift mode stopped for a stop sign then took off hit the top of first and right before i went to shift she kicked out sending me in to the other lane heading for the woods luckily there was no traffic. if it would have happened 2 weeks ago i would have probably **** my pants and totaled it but for some reason even being out of control i felt in control for the next few seconds i cant really remember all of what i did but it was like a natural instinct i let off the gas a lil counter steered and floored it going back in my lane. later a kid i go to school with asked me what happened and how i did that i really dident know how it became second nature.
when i started driving n the rain and felt the back end come out i figured it would be a good idea to learn how to drift and get it in my brain so i can act quickly. its not just to mess around.
Wow that's an inspiring story BUT...that's not gonna work in snow and ice. Take his advise^ GET THE TIRES!R350Zz33 wrote: have any of you guys with a 6 speed driven an auto z. trust me she wont whip out unless its wet.
