I am new to the forum and have been using the great info here to help me as I have been hunting for a used M35x for a few weeks now. Targeting around 100k miles for around $10 to 14K.

There are substantially less reviews out there on the 09 - 10 models vs the 06 - 08, specifically regarding long reliability.

Do any of you have input you could provide on this it would be great. Thanks in advance!

I bought my '01 Maxima in 2004' with around 100K on it and its been a beast for me. Gonna hit 250K on it shortly. Praying I can find an M with similar results.

the newer the better unless you're constraint by your budget.

Year
Mileage
Price

Welcome to NICO. You will find tons of great info in this forum including reviews, repair info, and modifications.

I had an 07 and now have an 09. Biggest difference is the 7 speed gear box and the dual intakes on the 09. We do a trek up to Maryland twice yearly and the 09 gets much better mpg than the 07 did. In fact, it's one less tank of fuel each way for the 1,300 miles each way. I absolutely loved the 07 as much as my 09 but the extra mpg from the 09 is a great improvement.
Also, the tail lamps on the 07 were quite large - I prefer the 09 tail lamps as well as the 09 front end.
I also participate in the reliability / repair records that this forum supports. There is never any info on the 09 models.
I can tell you the 07 had about 100,000 miles and during that time I replaced the tires and battery and had one repair for a starter. Otherwise, just required maintenance costs.
I have had no repairs / issues with the 09.
