Hi everyone. First time to the site. I have a 2006 Titan and a year ago the door would not open form the inside or outside. I took it to Nissan and they fixed to open from the inside (they wanted $800 to fix it for good) . Now the door wont open. I've taken the panel off and look at the rods and they seem ok. But I cant get the door open in order to get to the lock mechanism any idea how I can get it open. If Nissan was able to why cant I????

Sounds like the latch itself is having issues. I can't say what they might have done but I guess they were able to flip the latch somehow.

It just so happens that we have the service manual for your 2006 right here on the site in .pdf format for you to download and use. It's an actual factory Nissan manual too. Hopefully it can give you some ideas to try.

If the rods are intact I would suspect the latch and replace it but verify that before throwing parts at it of course.

Rev D21 thanks Im taking the truck back to Nissan and seeing if they can get the door open and then I ll do the work myself.... So I've looked over the pdf. and could not see anything about popping the door open while its locking system is in place and not allowing the door to open. No biggie I hope that Nissan can get it open again. I will pour over the pdf file some more thanks brother.
