It can't damage if that's what you want to know. The balancer shaft removed can't be bad, you see, in japan, there's QR too in some models, and they don't have a balancer shaft. You'll get minor vibrations at nearly 3000rpm, that's not that bad. I got only my balancer shaft chain cut, because at the time I tried to remove the bs, the bolts holding it never came out. I got MMI and a torque damper and you get use to the vibrations. It's a good mod because it free power because the engine won't have to make it turn anymore.
There's actually some engine which ended in bad shape because of the the balancer shaft. It's a cheap mod removing it which add power throughout the powerband. I say go for it, in tuning it's always some sacrifices for gains.
