Actually its not an isolated issue. My Titan does it occassionally. Not a big deal and I haven't had time to take it in. I'll eventually take it in when I get a chance, but even in situations when I can't turn off the engine and turn it back on, it activates the ABS system everytime you use the brakes. Modulating requires a bit more thought, but its not impossible.
The fix is relatively easy (for the dealer). They simply need to reprogram the ABS computer. Its actually in a TSB; NTB06-040 for the 04-06 Titan/Armada. Not sure if they issued a TSB on the QX56, but I'd imagine all the hardware was the same so its likely they did with the same procedure.
I tried to attach a copy of the TSB, but its too big. Email me if you want a copy...
