O.K... So I just got this 06 Pathfinder LE with the premium Bose sound system for my wife. I get it home and I realize the rear subs don't work !! I talked to the dealership about it and they told me that the extended warranty I paid 2k for would not cover stereo problems like this... Has anyone else experienced problems like this with there Bose and if so where is a good starting point to fixing the problem. The system sounds pretty good without them, I could only imagine if everything was working correctly.

Thanks This forum is AWESOME !

Are they plugged in? The PO may have disconnected them becuase they might have been too much.

Follow the wires as best as you can and see where they go. I believe they should lead you to the amp. The amp should be connected to the radio. I wonder if there is a feature on the radio that can turn the subs on and off, similar to a home receiver. My '04 doesn't have subs, but it still sounds like crap.

$2K for an extended warranty and it won't even cover the audio system...wow. Did you read the warranty itself, or did you just take the word of the certified thieves at the dealership?

Worst case scenario is you rip out all of the BOSE crap and put your own stuff in there.

Sounds like best case to me, get rid of that bose crap and put in something that's worth listening to!

Getting to the rear subs there on that back panel looks like it might be a Bi%&^. Looks like there's a lot that goes into removing that panel... has anyone ever had to do it?. Thanks

Sorry for the late post, there is a dedicated fuse for the rear subs, fuse #17have you checked that? I have some diagnostic steps from the nissan assist program that I am trying to copy to post them here, but check out the fuse first and let me know if that was the problem...

Thanks a lot.. I'll give that a shot. I cant believe all the problems with this system.. Nissan should really do something about all the issues that Clarion brings to the product. BAD for business...

Right on ... I know where your coming form for sure. They have been nice over all at the dealership.. There were a few small dings in the paint and they had the body shop take them out at no charge and they gave us a free keyfab. I got the 100K warranty but still don't know to much about what all is covered by it.. I still need to do some homework. Do any of you guys know a site that explains? or is it based on who the get the warranty from ? mine looks to have come from a company called mercury something or other.. I'd have to look again to tell you for sure.

Ok what extended warranty did you get exactly, if you could find the name of it, is it nissan's original, or something like PPP or equivalent (some 3rd party warranty)
