06 Pathfinder aftermarket HU ????

I have an 06 nissan pathfinder without the bose stock unit in it. I bought the wiring harness and hooked it up like normal and my aftermarket head unit wont turn on. I have racked my brain for hour on it and cant figure it out. Anyone know what could be going on or a step i MUST have missed? any help would be great

Did you ground the head unit to the chassis of the car? That's about all I can think of other than a bad unit.
