06 Nissan Maxima Trouble Codes (P0500 & P0462)

My sister- in -laws car started this today. She started it and the Rpm and the Fuel gauge didn't work. When she started down the street the speedometer didn't work either. When she tried to turn the climate control on it didn't work either. The Check Engine light also came on. I ran a diagnostic check and got the codes P0500 & P0462. This happened this morning but by this afternoon everything started working but the Check engine light was still on. Any ideas?
