I have 70k on the truck and have been told by the dealer and the tire/alignment place that there is nothing wrong or loose in the front end. But, every time I drive over uneven surfaces, like pulling into a parking lot from the road I get a terrible clunking poping noise out of the front end. I just had the "bilstien" struts checked by the tire guy and he said the struts look and feel good. I thought with 70k they might be at the end of their life. Any ideas as to what I could try? I just dumped almost 3 grand into repairs on this with the timing chain, radiator fan, fuel pump, and other stuff, so I'm hoping this might just be a lubrication issue.

Thanks tooth, I'll look into it. Odd the dealer, who could have tried at least to make some $$$, didn't catch it. What would be the best dyi way to identify if that is indeed the issue? Thanks for the help.

Another thing I have seen in GM cars is the lower controll arm bushings but you had to hit something agressive to get them to make a noise.
