06 Murano extended warranty purchase

Hello All

I just purchase a 06 Murano SL AWD over the weekend. I dont really know alot about the reliability of the Muranos or any common problem issues. I was wondering if its recommended to get the extended warranty. I am being offered the Nissan Preowned Preffered Warranty covers about 1500 parts for 96 mos (from inservice date) 120K Miles for 2421....car has 60K miles currently, so i am not sure what kind of issues to expect around 100K miles and a few years from now.

Please let me know what you guys recommend, if i should pass or think about getting it, and any big issues that you guys have faced with the murano if any.

The warranty is a good thing, but keep in mind there is usually a deductible (usually $50). Also, the price you pay for the Warranty can be negotiated. I actually have it on my 2010 Armada, but the dealer worked it into the deal, and if you are financing through Nissan, it sometimes can drop your interest rate by slightly. It all depends on what the dealer is willing to do and what Nissan is offering.

Hi, the warranty on a new car versus an older car is quite diff, the preowned doesnt cover as much as when you buy the Gold warranty for a Nissan thats under the 36/36K.... the prewoned has a 0 deductible but only covers 1400 parts verus the Gold at 1900. I have the price at cost plus 200... which comes to 2200 plus tax and inspection ($99) and will last till June 2014 and upto 120K miles...what do you all think, i know its like insurance
