The security lamp may just mean the ECM isn't getting power. Sounds like you may have blown one of the fusible links on the battery card.

thxs for replying. I checked the fusible link coming from the battery all of them getting same 12 volts. I checked the power too all fuses boxes and all fuses and ipdm. I just pulled the ecm to check if its getting power.

If the scanner won't connect then it's almost certain the ECM is offline. The question is whether it's dead or simply not waking up. The ECM has to wake itself up because it needs to be able to monitor the evap system when the car is shut off, so it uses an ECM Relay located in the IPDM. If that craps out then the ECM won't wake up. You can see the wiring diagram on EC-143 here...
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 6%2Fec.pdf
...and the IPDM layout on PG-25 here:
https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 6%2Fpg.pdf

Try swapping the ECM relay with one of the others, if that wakes it up then the relay is bad. If that doesn't help then make sure fuse 77 is good and has power. If so, put a test lamp on IPDM pin 18 Red/Black and see if it goes hot with the key. If it does then your ECM is dead. If it doesn't, put the lamp on pin 46 White/Black with the other end of the lamp connected to 12V and not ground. If that lights with the key then your IPDM is dead, if it doesn't then the ECM is dead.

Pin 46 shouldn't ever have power. It should be ground when the ECM wakes up and open circuit when the ECM is asleep. The only power it sees is through the coil of the ECM Relay. That's why you test it with a lamp connected to 12V and not ground. Yes, the ECM needs to be connected.

Then the ECM is alive but it isn't talking. Sounds like a bad ECM, either a blown CAN driver or it's off in the weeds.

PS - You didn't perhaps accidentally spark the battery or reverse connect a jump? High-energy sparks at the battery hot terminal often melt the protection diodes in either the power supply or CAN interface inside the ECM. The latter would cause exactly the symptoms you're getting, crank-no-start and no-connect with a scanner.

I did have to put new battery terminals on because they were loose that may have sent voltage spike maybe.
Do u think ipdm and ecm could be dead being that i did both test and both lit up.

No, like I said, the ECM needs to turn itself on. The relay is inside the IPDM but the IPDM doesn't drive it, it only supplies power to the fuse. So chances are the ECM is alive but disabled from talking, and the IPDM is probably okay. It's a proximity thing, along with how the harnesses are typically designed. I've never seen an IPDM blow from sparking like an ECM can.

Possibly, but given that the car won't scan, I think it's very unlikely. The BCM can prevent the car from cranking, but it can't prevent it from starting once it cranks. That's strictly the ECM's job. If the ECM is incommunicado, the BCM can't pass it the security code and the result is exactly the symptoms you're seeing -- sec lamp, no scan, crank-no-start.

That stuff all goes through fusible link B on the battery card and then fusible link F in the underhood Fuse & Relay Box. See if one of those is blown. See PG-4 here:

Would a swapped ECU need more then just the vin programmed into it. It runs but almost no throttle response. i tried the relearns with no success.

It should just need an IAVL (Idle Air Volume Learn) and CTPL (Closed Throttle Position Learn). If those don't do it then the problem isn't the stored data. If the engine is idling too high (above about 900 RPM) then IAVL won't take, Nissan advises temporarily pulling one or more coil connectors to bring the speed down until it completes.

Do you have the CVTz50 app for your transmission? If so, it has very painless work support for IAVL. The trouble with doing a manual IAVL is that it's complicated, so it becomes nearly impossible to execute on a misbehaving engine. When you can do it by pressing a button, the coil-pull trick becomes a whole lot easier.

No i dont have that app. I was reading another post u commented on about ecm. My original ecm is MEC83-712 I replaced it with a MEC83-731 are these compatible.

No, that's usually a problem. Only Hitachi could tell you for sure (and they won't), but even if the I/O's are the same, it almost certainly won't have the right firmware.

Can this ecm be flashed with the right firmware or am I gone to have to buy another ecm

On an '06, probably not. Before about '13 the ECM's all came pre-programmed for the car, and the Consult3+ could only update what was in there, not program it to a different part number. On later models you can fool the C3+ by telling it the ECM is blank, but that doesn't work on most of the older stuff. You'll probably need to replace it.

There are a crapload of used '712's on eBay for under $75, so you shouldn't need to spend a ton to get the right one.
