does anyone have procedure or specs to replace the driver-side fog light lens. I guess i have to remove the front facia/grill to get to it.

not sure how to remove the facia

a rock must have bounced up and broke the glass.

thanks

look up the thread on how to change your bulbs and once you do that you'll see how to get to them. There will be two bolts I think holding it in unscrew em and pull the lens towards you. Also Nissan Sentra lens will fit and is cheaper just fyi

I have an 07 M45. I just looked at it one day and the fog light was shattered, just the glass lens, it still worked. I had to by the whole assembly because you can't just replace the lens!Like $150.00 on line! Wasn't hard to install and I didn't have to remove the whole front, just the black plastic insert.

op, it probably wasnt a rock. the fog lights apparently get very hot when on that they crack. as was the case when i first bought mine. guy explained it to me and gave me new fogs as well, and told me about the sentra setup. surprised he wasnt a member on here

thanks everyone, i will look into that. i have not tried to take it apart yet, since it is freezing cold. Once we get over this extreme cold spell, i'll replace.

can anyone tell me the year for the sentra setup or better yet the part number. When i asked the nissan parts guy he said he could not find it without more specifics.

The only thing he told me was that it was $227/per side for the assembly! ouch its gonna hurt if i dont get the sentra part.

anybody thought about doing this swap with their fogs? just wondering....if you're gonna be behind the front lower grill area, could be worth just checking to see if there are any fitment issues, etc.

i know it's bitin' off BMWs and some folks don't like the halo projector look but i'm curious to know if it would look ok or if you'd need to do your low beams as well... :gotme

Get the sentra fog lights. They were about 90 bucks for both and fit perfectly. It uses a plastic lense so you don't have to worry about another broken fog.

That's not true.

The bulb it only like 30 watts its not even hot enough to burn you severely. If the bulb were overheating it would melt the plastic of the inside first.

There is a piece of glass 3" above the ground they chip quite easy.

This is a common problem with the M series. It happens from the heat not rocks. I actually saw mine crack right in front of me while it was parked in the garage. I think it has to do with water getting on the glass while its still hot

Can anyone recommend a good website or supplier to purchase the sentra fog lights.

Quick note guys, I just replaced a fog light this weekend - The holes on the sentra fog light are smaller than OEM equipment. You'll need a file or knife to "bore" out a larger hole. Not a big deal, but just make sure you're equipped with the right tools unlike myself. :dblthumb:

I know this is old - but I have the same problem. I have looked all over but can't find the year of Nissan Sentra fog lights that work as a replacement. Also - on the base M45 (not Sport) - do you have to remove the whell / lining to get to the fog light, or can it be replaced by removing the front somehow?

Will this one work?

or this one?

But i was going to order the autolightbulb listing. I believe that item fits the M45. pls do let me know if they work, incase i have to replace again.

good luck .

I talked to the parts guy at the local infiniti dealership. He confirmed that the 06-10 use the same part number (even though it lists a difference in parts from 07-08). This means that the Sentra part will work just fine.

For me - This is the part that I need::
OEM -- 26150-8990A

I bought this::

Hello all. I have this same problem which I have no clue when it happened but recently. Was wondering if the one quoted above would work well. I'm still under warranty so will also check tomorrow and maybe the stealership will cover it, doubtful but hoping.

The 2007 Sentra S & SL light fits. The part numbers are 261558990A for the Drivers side and 261508990A for the passenger side. I bought mine on Amazon last year & had the dealer do the installation.
