06 M35X won't start unless fob is inserted in dash

06 M35X was parked in garage for 3 weeks.Now it won't start unless FOB inserted in dash. Checked FOB battery - good, but replaced anyway. Tried the other FOB and it also not working. In the six years I've owned the car, never had this happen before. Help would be appreciated.

Hello.

To clarify, the fob still unlocks the car using the buttons, correct?
Do the door & trunk touch pads still function as usual?

If other stuff works fine, you might need the dealer to get new fobs programmed. My '11 did the same thing, everything worked but starting the car and for some reason the fobs just lost some functionality and they replaced them with new ones under warranty and did a reprogram.

No, the doors and trunk do not respond to fob buttons. (both Fobs)

take it to a batteries plus and have the FOB battery checked it is probably dead. they will replaced it for around 6 dollars.
