06 M35X Seat Broken...Need Help

I seem to have the same issue as some others with the driver side seat in my 06. It started the same as others have described and now it does not go up and down and makes a clicking sound when moving forward and back. Also even worse is that the metal bracket that seems to connect the seatback to the seat pad is exposed on the window side of the seat and I tore my pants sliding into the seat.
I am thinking about replacing the whole seat and I have found a couple of used seats on the internet that seem to be the correct replacements. One has a blown airbag and the other is complete. There is a $150 difference in the pricing. Can I swap out my good airbag for the one with the blown airbag or is this not advisable? Is this something that I can do myself?

BTW.. I need a black seat with the heating and cooling and Bose speakers in the seat.

One last question...I have seen posts that claim the dealer wants $1100-$1500 to fix a seat. Does this seem correct knowing what I have descibed?
