06 m35x back up cam and reverse lights stay on while driving

In any gear, both the reverse lights are locked on, and the back up cam in any gear, and it's getting really annoying while i'm driving now. I noticed that when the outside temps are above 50 degrees, everythings normal, and the back up cam usually doesnt turn on. I took my reverse light bulbs out just so i don't get pulled over or annoy people if not confuse them or scare them.

Does anyone know what this problem could be? I'm guessing there's a short somewhere. In accesory mode, i get the normal display and can adjust the heat settings, or music but otherwise i can't. Can't use nav either!

I'm guessing the switch on the transmission (name escapes me at the moment) is faulty. It's usually looks like a bolt with a couple wires going to it. Check the FSM.

Not 100% sure our car has that switch, but from my general car knowledge, that's a place to start. Check the FSM.
