06 m35x aux input and toggle switch in center console

I apologize if this should be obvious or has been asked And answered.... but, there is an aux input next to a toggle switch in the center console of my 06 m35x. I've seen no signs that the car had navigation, dvd, or satellite radio.
Could someone throw me a bone here?... how would I switch to the aux input? Why is my f.m. reception so poor and made worse by flipping the toggle switch to on? What could this toggle switch be for?

Try hitting the radio button a few times and see if it switches modes...

Interesting. Could you post a picture of what you have?

At first I thought it would be the Nav/DVD hack, but you say there's no evidence of either.
DVD player would be under the armrest, in the center console.
The navi would be more obvious. There would be "route", "dest" and "map" buttons

Do as Ilya suggested and check for satellite radio. I am not certain, but maybe that could be one way to install an external Sirius XM tuner.
